After using this Alex Ultra Advanced Latex Sealant I wouldn't want to use any other brand. This was pretty simple to use and the results came out way better than I expected. I used this sealant to reseal my bathtub. I'm glad that it came in white, so the final project looked wonderful. Also, that its mold and mildew resistant was great as it's being used in a wet environment. The precision of the applicator nozzle made it come out really smooth and precise. I did not need to paint, but it's good to know that it could be painted in just 15 minutes time. That's pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to using this again for my next home project of sealing the windows. I received this sealant complimentary in return for my honest review.

Paint ready in 15 min

I recently had a chance to try out this new Alex Ultra advanced sealant. My first impression is that this product goes on smoother , looks whiter, and easier than a different Dap caulk I compared it to. After letting the sealent set up for 15 min I wanted to try and see if it was ready for paint and it was. I was able to paint over it without messing up the sealant bead. I also noticed it dries smoother with no shrinkage in the small test I did. I wanted to check the adhesion time as well, so I pulled the 2 comparisons apart and the Alex ultra definitely sets up faster all the way through the bead. There is only one very minor drawback that I noticed and that was when I took pressure off the caulk gun it still wanted to come out of the tube, not like other caulks I've used. I think part of that may be due to it's easiness to smooth out after applying. You will just want to make sure you have something under it if you don't want a mess to clean up. As an avid DIY'er I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a smoother bead, less adhesion wait time and be able to paint over the sealant almost as soon as your done laying out bead and smoothing it. Will be buying this for future projects for sure.

Got The Job Done!!

I decided to remodel my son's room and with a new paint job and some other odds and ends, so this DAP Alex Ultra Advanced Latex Sealant was just what I needed to get the job done the right way; it didn't crack and was quite durable overall. It went on smoothly and within 15 minutes of applying I was able to start painting. I loved that it was mildew and mold resistant. Its also waterproof so that gave me peace of mind. Also after applying I noticed there wasn't really that heavy odor in the air. I'm definitely recommending this brand and product, it got the job done perfectly!!!

The Alex Ultra advanced anti-shrink sealant lives up to it's hype. It truly does. 15 minute paint ready and anti-shrink, I didn't believe it, but then I tried it. It adheres to darn near any type if surface, easy water cleanup, and it doesn't really have a strong odor at all. This is one product I highly recommend.

I received this Alex ultra advanced anti-shrink sealant as a complimentary gift from bzzagent. I used this to seal around my windows in my home. Since the cold weather is here, I noticed my windows weren't sealed properly. This sealant was easy to use and it didn't shrink! Very impressive stuff! I can't wait to use it around the house for other projects! Highly recommend if you are a diy type of person. Gets the job done right!

Impressive handy caulk/sealant for speedy work

This caulking was easy to tool and smooth to apply. Must be gentle in squeezing the trigger otherwise pressure build-up would occur and it would keep oozing out. Love the ability to paint very quickly after application. This speeds up my work in one shot. Also it's water resistant so I used it outside. The color blends greatly with white trim and molding without needing to paint it. Time will tell about flexibility.
