What is the shelf life for Pest Control?
Shelf life is 18 months
How long does it take for the foam to dry?
Pest Control is tack free in 6 minutes and completely cured in 4 hours
Is Pest Control Paintable?
Yes you can paint over Pest Control foam, however this may reduce the pest blocking scent that the formula contains to repel the pests.
What are some common projects for this product?
To seal off gaps and cracks in foundations, crawlspaces, attics, basements, garages, outdoor sheds and thru-hole penetrations for electrical and plumbing
Is this product a fire stop sealant?
No this is not a fire stop sealant. TNS Pest Control is a class 1 fire-rated formula as per ASTM E-84.
Is it safe to use around windows and door frames?
This product is not AAMA rated and is not recommended for windows and door frames. We recommend you use the Touch N’ Seal® No Warp® gun foam for Windows and Doors.
Do I need to use a wire mesh in addition to Pest Control to block pests from entering homes?
While wire mesh can be used with TNS Pest Control, no wire mesh is needed. Pest Control is formulated with an olfactory deterrent that is proven to protect the foam from mouse and other pest attack.
How can I clean up Pest Control Foam?
If wet foam contacts skin, clean immediately with a dry rag – do not use water – water accelerates curing. Cured foam must be removed mechanically from surfaces. Uncured foam can be cleaned from most surfaces with Foam Cleaner or acetone.
What is the warranty?
LIFETIME GUARANTEE. DAP warrants this product for sealant purposes during the lifetime of your home when applied within one year of purchase and as directed. If product fails to perform when used as directed, return container and sales receipt to DAP Products Inc., TCS, 2400 Boston St., Baltimore, MD 21224 for replacement product or sales price refund. DAP will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
